Alghanim Industries, one of the region’s largest private companies, has taken over The  Wendy’s ,US-based hamburger chain, in Emirates with plans to expand the brand in the Middle East.The Wendy’s Company (NASDAQ: WEN) is the world’s third largest quick-service hamburger company. The Wendy’s system includes more than 6,500 franchise and company restaurants in the United States and 28 countries and U.S. territories worldwide.
Alghanim Industries has acquired all operational outlets of Wendy’s in the UAE from Alamar a saudi based franchise and as a part of expansion Alghanim will open additional Wendy’s stores in the MENA region over the next 10 years.
Alghanim already operates 30 businesses across sectors including industry, retail, logistics and oil & gas.Now it aims to dominate Food & Beverage sector.After the successful acquisition of Costa Coffee (Kuwait) in 2013 .Costa Cofee is a British multinational coffeehouse company.It is the second largest coffeehouse chain in the world .The Wendy’s will be a great opportunity for Alghanim in to influence Food & Beverage sector.
